Xeikon Cafe Brewing a Caffeine Charged Cuppa
Xeikon are a world leading manufacturer of digital printing presses and we first invested in their technology in 2007.

Our MD Simon Smith had already started to transform the company from a traditional label printer into a digital powerhouse and one of first steps was this expensive purchase :)

Since then we’ve never looked back and have continue to rapidly evolve as has the technology itself.

Xeikon ask us to contribute to many of their industry events and the next one is the Xeikon Business Café taking place at Xeikon headquarters in Lier, Belgium, March 28-31, 2017.
This year’s event is named ‘Packaging Innovations’ and will be extended to four days instead of three, to cater for global growth and increased interest.

The event brings together customers, partners, packaging convertors and print service providers.
It is an informal yet informative gathering and offers demonstrations, presentations, workshops and discussions.
Rather than a sales pitch, the event offers participants real life actionable information and advice on industry innovations and trends.

During the event we have been asked to share our experiences, ideas and innovations to inspire other print companies; whether they are thinking of moving into digital, or are already active but want to keep up with the latest developments.
MD Simon Smith will be speaking at 10.45am – 11.15am on the Friday Morning.

His presentation is entitled ‘Evolution as a digital printer. A bank manager’s perspective’.
In the presentation, Simon will share an overview of the current capacity, USPs and strategies of digital and this from the unique perspective of a bank manager.
He will discuss the journey of fully moving from flexo to digital and the challenges, benefits and set-backs he came across doing so.
Also the evolutionary process of digital will be addressed: how is technology helping them to evolve, identify new markets and differentiate the offering from the rest of the market?

Simon will talk about the drivers for change.
He will provide examples on why they are challenging people’s conception as to what is considered to be digital’s natural market, and outline future strategies for providing digital solutions that meet customers label requirements.
Simon will also be contributing to the ‘Daily Talk Show’ panel discussion on the Thursday afternoon.
